The LORD-ADVOCATE (Mr. Munro)There have been contraventions in various parts of Scotland of the orders referred to by my hon. Friend. I attach the greatest importance to securing strict compliance with these orders. In February last a circular was, by my direction, issued to Procurators-fiscal throughout Scotland, instructing them to impress on the Courts the gravity of such contraventions, in order to secure that, in the event of conviction, an adequate penalty should 573W be inflicted. I am prepared to adopt any further measures which are appropriate to securing the end which my hon. Friend desires.
