HC Deb 12 October 1916 vol 86 c229W
Sir J. HARMOOD-BANNER

asked the President of the Board of Trade if the Governments of France, Russia, and Italy have sequestrated all alien enemy property in France, Russia, and Italy; and, if so, will the British Government take similar steps with regard to all alien enemy property in this country and thus bring the treatment of all alien enemy property on the same basis in all the principal Allied countries?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I am not aware that all alien enemy property has been sequestrated in France, Russia, or Italy. The steps taken with regard to enemy property in this country are in accordance with the resolutions agreed to at the Paris Economic Conference.
