HC Deb 21 November 1916 vol 87 cc1261-2W
Mr. BOLAND

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he has considered the claims of retired members of the Royal Irish Constabulary to have an addition made to their pensions, whether temporary or otherwise, or whether steps will be now taken to refund, with interest, the amount paid by these men into the Royal Irish Constabulary Force Fund?

Mr. DUKE

The Government does not contemplate a revision of the scale of pensions, now fixed, of retired members of the Royal Irish Constabulary. As regards the second part of the question, I would refer the hon. Member to the answer on the 14th instant to the question of the hon. Member for Dublin (Harbour Division).
