HC Deb 21 November 1916 vol 87 cc1241-2W
Colonel Lord HENRY CAVENDISH-BENTINCK

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether the consumer in Great Britain has derived any advantage from the reduction in the price of palm kernels paid to the native producer?

Mr. PRETYMAN

The price paid to the natives is but one element in the total cost of producing the articles, the consumption of which is referred to in the question, and I am unable to say to what extent its reduction may have affected their prices.
