HC Deb 21 November 1916 vol 87 c1247W
Mr. O'GRADY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to a dispute in the clothing trade at Hebden Bridge and district; and whether, having regard to the fact that the firms in the locality have -contracts in hand for the War Office and the Admiralty, any efforts have been made to get the contending parties to agree to submit their differences to arbitration under the terms of the Treasury agreement of March, 1915; if not, will steps be taken to that purpose?

Mr. PRETYMAN

My attention has been called to this dispute. The Chief Industrial Commissioner is in communication with the patrties on the mattter.
