§ Mr. LYNCHasked the Chief Secretary whether, in the case of Mr. Patrick Daly, of Lissycasey, West Clare, who was tried under the Military Service Act by the resident magistrate sitting alone at Ennis on 27th October last and subsequently handed over to the military authorities, he will advise the liberation of this young man pending an appeal; and whether, as this may be a test case, all facilities will be given to Patrick Daly to prepare his defence?
§ Mr. DUKEThe question involved in this case is, as I am told, pending for decision in the King's Bench Division of the High Court in Ireland. Probably, therefore, special facilities such as the hon. Member mentions will not be needed.
