HC Deb 02 November 1916 vol 86 c1857W
Sir E. CORNWALL

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the loyalty of the West Indies during the War, he has yet arrived at any definite decision with regard to the proposed West Indian flag?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The loyalty of the West Indies has never, I think, been in question before or during the War. But before I can take any decision in regard to such a matter as a joint flag there must be general agreement among the Colonies concerned, which is not at present the case.
