§ Dr. MACNAMARAI presume my hon. Friend is referring to the case of the Coastguard, where those members whose families were not in receipt of separation allowance were granted an increased provision allowance of 6d. a day. This increase was given specifically to those men who had not benefited by the grant of separation allowance, and who consequently had received nothing to meet the increased cost of living. I regret that I 2401W cannot recommend that any men shall have the increased provision allowance in addition to separation allowance.
