HC Deb 14 March 1916 vol 80 c1924W
Mr. C. DUNCAN

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he has received any representations with regard to the necessity, in view of the essential nature of the work of approved societies in connection with national health insurance, of secretaries and accountants of large approved societies, the principal clerks or heads of departments in their head offices, and secretaries of branches that are wholly engaged in administering the National Insurance Act being placed on the list of reserved occupations; and whether this is going to be done?

Mr. ROBERTS

My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. I have received representations to the effect stated in the question, both orally and in writing, and I am sending the hon. Member a copy of a letter which has been issued to approved societies in response to inquiries.
