HC Deb 09 March 1916 vol 80 c1735W
Mr. DUNCAN MILLAR

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War what provision has been made for the training of a sufficient number of men to take up the increased output of machine guns immediately on their delivery so as to enable them to be used in the field without delay; and what steps have been taken to secure the most suitable men for training as machine gunners?

Mr. TENNANT

A special training centre has been formed for the training of the Machine Gun Corps. Men for this corps are obtained by the selection of suitable men from other branches of the Service.
