HC Deb 09 March 1916 vol 80 c1748W
Mr. W. YOUNG

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give the estimated income derived from Foreign and Overseas Dominions by investors in this country at the present time?

Mr. McKENNA

As stated on the 10th March last, good authorities have estimated that the income received in this country from Colonial and foreign investments amounted to £200,000,000. This estimate was made before the outbreak of war, and I have no data which will enable me to judge how far this figure may now require modification.
