§ Mr. HODGEasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware of the hardship entailed upon manufacturers and merchants who cannot recover from Germany and Austria outstanding accounts; if he will therefore consider the granting of the advances out of moneys held by the Public Trustee on account of manufacturers and merchants of enemy countries; and, if not, if he will say what action he proposes to take to prevent the ruin of such British subjects who are unable to recover accounts owing by German and Austrian manufacturers or merchants?
