HC Deb 02 March 1916 vol 80 cc1224-5W
Sir RICHARD WINFREY

asked the Minister of Munitions if any steps, and, if so, what steps, have been taken to render innocuous the effluent from the munition works at Gretna discharged into the River Eden?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

No steps of the nature described in this question have been thought necessary, as it is considered that the effluent will have no deleterious effect on fish life.
