§ Captain DOUGLAS HALLasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if the Government can see their way to amend Subsection (4) of Section 86 of the Finance 1698W (1909–10) Act, 1910, so as to put duly qualified veterinary surgeons on the same footing as qualified medical practitioners in respect of the payment of half the duty on motor-car licences?
§ Mr. McKENNAI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to Section 14 (1) of the Finance Act, 1916, which already places registered veterinary surgeons in the same position as medical practitioners as regards motor-car licences.
