§ Mr. BROOKESasked the Prime Minister whether the Government will take steps, or is taking steps, to ascertain the views of the chambers of commerce and of the business interests of the country on the resolutions adopted by the Economic Conference of the Allies in Paris?
Mr. HARCOURTThe Prime Minister has asked me to answer this question. His Majesty's Government will always be glad to receive statements of the views of the commercial and industrial interests of the country on the resolutions of the Paris Economic Conference. These statements could most usefully be addressed either to the Committee which has just been appointed by the Prime Minister or, in so far as they relate to specific industries, to one or other of the Trade Committees which have been appointed by the Board of Trade.
