§ Mr. PETOasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to the cattle-driving affray in the neighbourhood of Ballinasloe, in which from 400 to 500 people were fighting the police for four hours; whether an adequate military force has now been sent to maintain order in the district; whether any and, if so, how many other cases of cattle-driving have taken place during the last two months in Ireland; and whether in every case the Government have taken or will take the necessary steps to maintain the peace?
