§ Sir GEORGE CAVEThe Prime Minister has asked me to reply to this question. It is understood that the naval and military authorities in Ireland have taken action in accordance with the Defence of the Realm Acts and the Regulations there under, and the question of introducing an Indemnity Bill has not yet received consideration. If such a Bill should be required for the protection of the naval and military forces against actions or prosecutions in respect of acts necessarily done in the service of the country, it will undoubtedly be introduced.
