HC Deb 04 July 1916 vol 83 cc1376-7W
Mr. MORRELL

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office if he will have inquiries made into the case of W. J. Eglin, 3, Harrison Street, Burnley, late No. 2289, 5th East Lancashire Regiment, in order to ascertain whether this man was discharged from the Army on 17th March, 1916, suffering from deafness and rheumatism; whether he has received any grant or pension since his discharge; whether repeated applications have been made to the Chelsea Commissioners for such a pension; and whether this man, who is a married man with two children, is suffering severe distress in consequence of the delay in dealing with his case?

Mr. FORSTER

Inquiries are being made into this case, and the result will be communicated to my hon. Friend.
