HC Deb 16 February 1916 vol 80 cc62-3W
EARL of RONALDSHAY

asked the Prime Minister if any prohibition or restriction has been imposed upon the sale of petrol to the public; if so, will he say by whose authority and for what reason; is any such prohibition or restriction for a specified period; and, if so, for what period?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Government have not imposed any such restrictions, but I understand that certain firms who supply petrol to the Government have stated that they may find it necessary to curtail their supplies to other customers.
