§ Colonel YATEasked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether civilians of military age are now employed in the Army Pay Department and record offices in Ireland; and, if so, will he put a stop to the employment of such men in all military offices in Ireland?
§ Mr. FORSTERThe number of civilians of military age in pay and record offices in Ireland is 191. As these men are not subject to the Military Service Act, and are experienced at their work, their services have been retained. Of course every encouragement will be given to those who are medically fit to join the Colours.
