§ Mr. PERKINSasked the Prime Minister whether, in regard to promotion in? the Civil Service, the claims of senior and meritorious men who, through physical disability or age, are unable to undertake military service or who are serving at home are to be ignored in favour of those Civil servants who are on active service abroad?
§ The PRIME MINISTERThe answer is in the negative. On the other hand, the claims to promotion of those serving in the Army or Navy are not to be prejudiced by their absence from their Departments.
