Mr. WALSHasked the Home Secretary if he is aware that Peter Donovan, of Casheliskey, and James Walsh, of Knockea, both in the neighbourhood of Clonakilty, county Cork, are now the only two prisoners detained in Frongoch Prison from this district; will he state if there is any special reason for detaining them or will they immediately be brought to trial; if so, when and where; and can they be represented by an independent solicitor?
Mr. SAMUELThe Advisory Committee, after carefully considering the evidence against these two persons, have recommended that they should be retained in internment. I cannot undertake to reopen their cases at the present time.
