Mr. NUGENTasked the Secretary to the Treasury if he will state definitely at what date the Irish prison warders may expect to be in full possession of the I improved rate of pay sanctioned almost four months ago by the Treasury; and whether the new scheme of reorganisation for the improvement of the pay of those officers involves the taking away of extra allowances given to men holding promoted posts, such as clerk warders, hospital warders, storekeeper warders, etc; and, if so, will any provision be made to fully compensate the warders holding such appointments?
