§ Mr. KELLYasked the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) whether he has made representations to the Treasury and to the collector of Customs and Excise regarding the levying of the Amusements Tax on agricultural shows and horse-jumping exhibitions; whether he has pointed out to them the importance of these fixtures to the cattle and horse-breeding industries and to the schemes of the Department and their educational value; and whether this tax is still being collected by the Excise authorities?
