HC Deb 28 September 1915 vol 74 c748W
Commander BELLAIRS

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether very large profits are being made under the insurance scheme against air risks; and whether he can see his way to bring about a downward revision of these rates?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

The Government aircraft insurance scheme has not been in operation sufficiently long to enable any estimate whatever to be formed as to whether a profit will or will not be made. It is not proposed to reduce the rates.
