HC Deb 28 September 1915 vol 74 cc742-3W
Mr. WILLIAM O'BRIEN

asked the Minister of Munitions whether he has received a representation from the Cork United Trades and Labour Council requesting that a fair share of the work of manufacturing war munitions in Ireland should be allocated to Cork; and whether, in view of the recent announcement of the Lord Lieutenant that 28 per cent. of the population of Cork of military age are serving with the Colours, the claim of the manufacturers and workers of Cork in this respect will receive due recognition?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

I am informed by the representative of the Ministry for Munitions in Ireland that considerable orders have been placed in Cork and district.
