§ Mr. CHAMBERLAINI regret that I am unable to give the information for which the hon. Member asks; but if he will refer to the Papers which have been placed in the Library, and which I mentioned in my statement yesterday, he will find, the offers of the Chiefs given in detail. It appears from these Papers that the cash gifts amounted to approximately £1,000,000 for the purposes of the War, and £300,000 for charitable purposes.
