§ Mr. KINGasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the anxiety of the soldiers for Bibles, the Secretary of State will direct commanding officers, whether at home or abroad, to inform the men under their command that they are entitled under the King's Regulations to be supplied therewith; and to ascertain whether there is any deficiency in the supply thereof, and to report such deficiency, if any?
§ Mr. TENNANTThe rules as to the issue of Bibles are clearly set out in the King's Regulations, and there does not appear to be any reason to draw special 2155W attention to these rules. Any applications forwarded by officers commanding—on whom the responsibility rests—are dealt with at once.
