asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if, in view of the fact that certain trades are reaping extra profits from the War, he will give special attention to the proposal made to him by the hon. Member for West Bradford, that in cases where individuals or firms make larger profits during the War than before the War they should pay a heavily graduated extra Income Tax?

As stated in my reply to the hon. Member for West Bradford, I cannot anticipate my next Budget statement, but my hon. Friend may rest assured that this, along with other proposals, will receive due consideration.
