asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the present position with respect to the Anglo-Portuguese Commercial Treaty?

Mr. PRIMROSE

The treaty of commerce and navigation with Portugal was signed on 12th August, 1914. The measure introduced into Parliament to give effect to the Treaty having become law, steps are being taken to ratify it at the earliest possible date.
