HC Deb 10 February 1915 vol 69 c587W
Mr. PRATT

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether officers of the New Army and of Territorial units are allowed any, and what, sum in lieu of quarters if they are living for purposes of public duties in quarters of their own and are not billeted?

Mr. BAKER

When officers are not billeted or allotted public quarters, they may draw lodging and fuel and light allowances at the rates appropriate to their rank. The rates for a captain are 2s. 3d. a day for lodging, and 6d. a day for fuel and light in winter.
