Mr. BAKERThese allowances are at present distributed monthly by Army paymasters direct to the recipients, except in special cases, in which it is in the interests of the families that payment should be made more frequently. A scheme of weekly payment through the Post Office has been arranged, and will take effect in October.

Mr. BAKERUnder the Regulations, Territorial officers are treated in the same way as Regular officers, to whose wives no separation allowance is given.
