HC Deb 10 September 1914 vol 66 c659W
Mr. WALTER GUINNESS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether Territorial Force chaplains on mobilisation receive Army or Territorial Force rates of pay; whether he is aware that under Territorial Force Regulations 619 and 620 such chaplains are only entitled to pay and allowances for two, or at most three, days per week, and that this amount does not cover their expenses and the cost of supplying locum tenens for their parishes; and, if so, whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?

Mr. TENNANT

Chaplains who hold commissions in the Territorial Force and who have been selected for duty will receive pay and allowances at the same rates and under the same conditions as those of corresponding grade in the Regular Army.
