HC Deb 26 November 1914 vol 68 c1343W
Mr. KELLY

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether the Donegal County Council may now regard the sum available for sanatoria buildings under the National Insurance Act as £4,606, less the actual sums paid by them for beds in Peamount Sanatorium, occupied by patients from the county, or is the county council under obligation to pay for a certain number of beds annually in Peamount Sanatorium, whether occupied or not; and, if so, for how many?

Mr. BIRRELL

From the share of the Grant based on population is deducted the capital cost of the beds taken in perpetuity at Peamount by a county council; but the county council is only responsible for maintenance charges while the beds are occupied by patients sent by such council.
