HC Deb 11 May 1914 vol 62 c731W
Mr. GODFREY COLLINS

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he can say what percentage the true revenue of Scotland bears to the total revenue of Great Britain for the last three financial years; and can he give the actual figures in each case?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

supplied the following table. Year 1913–14; provisional figures. Revenue, as contributed:—

By England. By Scotland. By Ireland. From other source. Total.
£162,409,500 £21,292,000 £11,132,500 £3,387,000 £198,221,000
Percentage 81.93 10.74 5.62 1.71 100

From this table it will be seen that the revenue as contributed by Scotland is to the revenue contributed by England as 10.74 to 81.93, or as 1 to 7.62.
