§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners have not received any application from Micheal O'Connor for reinstatement in a holding on the Johnson estate, county Leitrim. The Commissioners received an application from Thomas O'Connor, who stated that his grandfather had been evicted from a holding on this estate, but as the eviction did not take place within twenty-five years prior to the passing of the Irish Land Act, 1903, he does not come within the class of evicted tenants for whom the Commissioners have power to provide holdings. The reply to the concluding part of the question is in the negative.

§ Mr. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners made no promise to provide M'Morrow with a farm. His former holding is in the occupation of another tenant, with whom the Commissioners have no power to interfere, and M'Morrow has already been informed by the Commissioners that they do not intend to provide him with another holding.
