§ Mr. MALCOLMasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether a police station is being erected in Stafford Road, Wallington, but that the Government Fair-Wage Clause is not being enforced; and whether, if this be so, he will take immediate steps to secure the enforcement of the said Clause?
§ Mr. McKENNAThe Receiver for the Metropolitan Police District is in communication with the contractors as to the rates of wages that are being paid in connection with the erection of the new police station at Wallington. The provisions of the Fair-Wages Clause will be enforced.
