HC Deb 02 July 1914 vol 64 c559W
Mr. HOARE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many returns were made for Super-tax in 1913–14 or, if the figures for 1913–14 are not yet available, in 1912–13; and on how many Super-tax has been paid?

Mr. LLOYD GEORGE

The number of returns for Super-tax for the year 1913–14 so far received by the special Commissioners of Income Tax is 20,913, of which 12,762 represent cases in which liability is now known to exist. Duty has been paid in about 11,400 cases.
