HC Deb 24 February 1914 vol 58 c1607W
Mr. WATT

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether there is any intention of amending the Moneylenders Acts this Session in so far as these apply to Scotland, in view of the fact that it has become the system of moneylenders there to rob the poor and impecunious by charges for preliminary expenses which seldom or never result in loans being advanced?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

I would refer my hon. Friend to my reply of the 17th instant to a similar question.
