HC Deb 23 February 1914 vol 58 cc1426-7W
Mr. CHARLES DUNCAN

asked the Home Secretary whether he has had his attention drawn to the sentence of fourteen days' imprisonment on Mrs. Annie Cooper, at the Chipping Norton Borough Police Court, on Thursday, 12th February, for an assault in the course of a trades dispute; and whether, in view of the trivial nature of such assault, he can see his way clear to remit the remaining few days of her sentence?

Mr. McKENNA

No facts have been brought to my notice in this case sufficient to justify any interference with the sentence.
