HC Deb 21 April 1914 vol 61 cc773-4W
Mr. NEWMAN

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has received a resolution, passed unanimously at a meeting of the Palmers Green and Southgate Kate-payers' Association on 30th ultimo, relative to the removal of telephone poles no longer required, in consequence of the lines having been laid underground; and whether he has come to any decision in the matter?

Mr. HOBHOUSE

I was not previously aware of the resolution in question. The answer as regards the poles is similar to that which I gave the hon. Member on the 6th instant regarding poles in Selborne Road. Nothing definite has yet been settled with the Southgate Urban District Council.
