§ Mr. MONTAGUAccording to information furnished by the secretary to the Drainage Board no maintenance rate was struck from the constitution of the district until the end of the year 1901. The following is an account of subsequent assessments and also a record of the gross expenditure in each year and the amount spent in direct labour:—
