HC Deb 15 April 1914 vol 61 c175W
Mr. SCANLAN

asked the Chief Secretary whether his attention has been called to the system and results of the final examinations of the Pharmaceutical Society in Ireland, and the allegations made of extreme severity in the standard enforced; and whether he will inquire into the matter and secure redress of any grievance that may exist?

Mr. BIRRELL

No complaints have been received by Government or the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland as to the standard enforced at the final examination of the society; but some letters on the subject have recently appeared in the public Press. The regulations for the examination are made by the council of the society, and any complaints should be addressed to that body.
