HC Deb 03 April 1914 vol 60 c1505W
Mr. VINCENT KENNEDY

asked the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether any places of worship or other buildings have been broken into recently in the town of Ballyjamesduff, in county Cavan; and will he state the nature of these offences and the apparent object and result in each case?

Mr. BIRRELL

In addition to the outrage at the Protestant Church at Ballyjamesduff, on the 22nd March, to which I referred in reply to the question of the hon. Member for the St. Augustine's Division on the 30th ultimo, the police authorities inform me that the Roman Catholic Church at Ballyjamesduff was broken into and the poor-boxes rifled on three occasions within the past eighteen months.
