§ Mr. BENNETT-GOLDNEYasked the Secretary for War if officers, non-commissioned officers, and men of the Regular Army are prevented solely by non-ordinary exigencies of the Service from obtaining the usual week-end leave and passes at Whitsuntide and other times of national holiday, whether compensating leave or 1395W passes will be granted for the earliest week-ends, or equivalent periods, convenient immediately following Whitsuntide and other times of so-called universal rejoicing?
§ Colonel SEELYThe grant of week-end passes rests within the discretion of the local military authorities, and I have no doubt that such passes will be issued as usual so far as military exigencies permit.
