§ Colonel YATEasked the President of the Local Government Board whether leprosy is spreading in this country; and whether he proposes to institute the compulsory segregation in this country of persons suffering from the disease?
§ Mr. BURNSThere are only a few cases of leprosy in this country, and, so far as I am aware, the disease is not spreading here. I am advised that measures for the compulsory segregation of persons suffering from leprosy in this country would not be justified at present. I may add that the whole question is under the careful consideration of my Department.
