HC Deb 06 March 1913 vol 49 cc16-7W
Mr. CROOKS

asked the Secretary to the Treasury what are the offices in which the post of supervising abstractor (£160 to £220) exists; how many such posts have been created; and what other offices, if any, have made proposals to create this class?

Mr. MASTERMAN

Posts upon this scale of salary have been authorised in the following Departments: Admiralty, Customs, Estate Duty Office of Inland Revenue Department, Department of Inspector General in Bankruptcy under the Board of Trade, and the English, Scottish and Irish Insurance Commissions. I believe there are about 150 posts of this designation. I am not aware whether any other offices have proposed to institute the class.
