asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if the report on the condition of His Majesty's ship "Psyche," which necessitated repairs being undertaken last March, has yet reached the Admiralty; if he will now state what were the defects which had to be repaired; and, if not, when ho will make a statement?

Mr. CHURCHILL

A report as to the repairs necessary to the "Psyche" has been received. The principal defects were as follows: Docking of ship, survey of hull, repairs to bottom plating, frames, etc., large renewal of upper deck, repairs to poop and forecastle, and other items of usual nature. Also retube port condenser, remetal port intermediate crank brass, renew liners and rims port intermediate slide brass, repair boiler casings, renew fire bars, also electrical circuits and fittings.
