HC Deb 23 June 1913 vol 54 cc812-3W
Mr. CARR-GOMM

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware that for the last two months the post office at 319, Southwark Park Road, S.E., has been closed in consequence of the postmaster having left the premises; and whether he will make arrangements for the reopening of the office without delay, in view of the inconvenience now caused to residents in this locality?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

The town sub-office in question has been closed since 2nd May, in the circumstances stated by the hon. Member. There are four offices within two-thirds of a mile of the premises, and in view of the comparatively small amount of business formerly transacted at 319, Southwark Park Road, it does not appear that the reopening of the office is necessary.
