§ Mr. J. A. PEASEThe responsibility for obtaining satisfactory evidence of the ages of scholars attending public elementary schools rests, in the first instance, with the local education authority. For the purposes of their own administration, in cases where it is impossible to obtain a birth certificate or a statutory declaration by a parent, the Board are prepared to accept such evidence of the probable age of a child as is available.
